SEQUOIA was created in 1988 by the current Chairman, M. Daniel SISSO, coming from l'Oreal (product marketing) and by the Art Director, Pierre HARDY, also designer for HERMES and a professor at Ecole Superieure des Arts appliques in Paris (ESAAD). SEQUOIA launched its first leather goods collection for the Spring / Summer 1989 season. (Pierre HARDY designs SEQUOIA bags since 1990). The task was to wring a new conservative concept on the market of leather goods. The result was absolutely great- today SEQUOIA is presented in the best department stores all over the world. IT have it's own boutiques in France? Europe, Asia and continues to spread all over the world. SEQUOIA is distributed in France in about 600 points of sales, including Department Stores, and on the 5 continents , most notably all over Europe, in Japan, Hong Kong, the Middle East ,the USA, Canada, Russia,: SEQUOIA - very trendy shapes with a mix of specific and modern materials and colours. The silver-plated ring which can be found on bags in an obvious or discreet way has become an emblematic signature over the seasons. Designed by Pierre Hardy since the very beginning, the collections combine a modern, elegant and refined style with very of-the-moment lines, a mix of matters and bright colours for feminine and trendy bags. SEQUOIA motto is fashion, feminine and affordable. |
